Top 10 wedding gift lists- Dine

Tradition is that guests to your wedding will want to give a wedding present, towards the new couple and their new home. Whilst these days most couples will have set up home before getting married, the tradition has continued. Modern couples may ask for a contribution towards their honeymoon, or a donation to their favourite charity instead of a toaster, but the wedding list continues to be a useful tool.

Today’s wedding gift lists help your guests know exactly what gift you would appreciate, and as they are online they also take the stress out of buying a present.

Here’s our pick of the best wedding gift list sites in the UK!

Top 10 wedding gift lists

The Wedding Shop

The Wedding Shop  offers a personal service to their couples, including a Gift Guru who you can consult either in one of their London-based showrooms or via a virtual consultation. You can combine products from over 450 brands as well as honeymoon funds, charity contributions or other funds, and for big ticket products your guests can club together to make a group purchase.  They even record who bought which gift, making writing your thank-you cards easy!

John Lewis

John Lewis is the traditional go-to shop for wedding gift lists, and with their ‘wish list’ facility online they’ve made it easier for couples to set up. You add whichever products or gift cards you want, and simply forward the link to your guests. Of course you are restricted to products from John Lewis, but as one of the largest department stores in the UK that’s not too limiting. Unfortunately they don’t offer gift wrapping though.

Prezola

Similar to The Wedding Shop is Prezola. There’s a whopping 50,000 products to add to your gift list, from smaller gifts of £25 or less to big-ticket items which guests can contribute to as a group gift. There’s also charity donations or contributions towards honeymoon or other experiences.  Very smart and easy to use.

Patchwork

For the couple who have everything, there’s Patchwork. You can ask your guests to gift the usual toaster and glassware, charity donation or honeymoon fund- or ask them to do something as a gift instead. Whether that’s the flowers for your wedding, babysitting on date night, or maybe help in the garden. Great for guests on a budget and for the more eco-conscious couple.

Macmillan

Set up a wedding fundraiser at Macmillan and guests can contribute towards cancer support in lieu of gifts, You could also purchase wedding favours to give your guests from their online shop. They have beautiful wedding jewellery too. This could be a wonderful thought if you’ve been affected by cancer.

Kuoni

If you’ve booked your honeymoon with Kuoni, you can set up a gift list and ask your guests for contributions towards the cost. There’s thousands of small businesses making beautiful furniture, homewares, art and lots more besides. The site enables you to set up a wish list in much the same way as a favourites or other collection. Once you’ve added the items you’d like, you can share the list with your guests.
