Wentworth Woodhouse

Historic Venue

We were engaged by the previous owners of Wentworth Woodhouse to assess its potential as an events venue. This remarkable Yorkshire estate, with 365 rooms and a façade twice the width of Buckingham Palace, is now owned by a preservation trust.

Our first task was to evaluate the site’s overall potential and identify an event space that would be commercially attractive while supporting the estate’s long-term plans. Following detailed analysis, the South Wing was selected.

The team produced a comprehensive feasibility report covering building and fit-out costs, operating models, market analysis, interior concepts, a full business plan, and outline marketing materials.

We continued to support the project through operational guidance, event planning, and the delivery of several major launch events.

Nostell Priory

Heritage Venue

We were appointed by the National Trust to review the events and wedding business at Nostell Priory, West Yorkshire, with the aim of increasing revenue without impacting the day visitor experience.

Following a detailed assessment, we identified a separate area with dedicated access and parking, isolated from visitor routes. Working closely with the Trust, we developed the interior design and delivered a programme of works, including licensing and conservation requirements, completing mobilisation within six months.

Once operational, we managed all marketing, sales and event delivery, from venue viewings through to on-the-day hospitality and execution. The partnership continued successfully for 17 years.

Over this period, the events and wedding business generated an average net income of £80,000 per annum for the National Trust.

private estate

Barn venue

We were engaged to assess the potential of an unused barn on a larger estate. Through detailed consultation, we developed a clear understanding of the client’s vision and produced a comprehensive feasibility study, including competitor analysis, three-year financial forecasts, site and interior concepts, indicative capital costs, and a marketing strategy with proposed branding.

This enabled the client to make informed decisions about the opportunity and its commercial viability. We then supported the recruitment process, helping define the venue structure, identify key roles, and recruit the right team.

As bookings commenced, our in-house planners managed all client communication and event coordination. We also trained the operational team ahead of launch and, following opening, assumed responsibility for sales, marketing, venue operations, event management, and hospitality delivery.
