Why we like it: Angel Brides carries a range of highly respected and award-winning designers – all staples of modern bridal style. Why we like it: Want to look like a princess? Confetti and Lace is the wedding dress shop for you. In business since 1992, this down-to-earth company stocks gowns by the greats: Alfred Angelo, Mori Lee, Ellis Bridals, Lillian West, and White Rose Bridal – and they’re also premium stockists of top label Pronovias. With more than 150 dresses in store, there’s a style, size and fabric for everyone.
Confetti and Lace is great too if you’re a plus size bride. Their regular ranges go up to a size 28, with a selection available to try on in store (yes, there and then!) in sizes 0-28. They even have a sale shop as well as their regular store – perfect if you’re looking to scoop up a bargain.
This is an award-winning shop, having scooped a number up in 2012 including Yorkshire Brides’ Best Bridal Retailer and Best Customer Service. You might also remember them from ITV’s The Wedding Shop and Don’t Tell The Bride on the BBC. Why we like it: Situated in the picturesque village of Baildon just outside Leeds, the Bridal Boutique is quite simply full of beautiful wedding dresses. One of the best things we’ve heard about the Bridal Boutique Leeds is the excellence of the customer service. With 7 years’ trading under their belt and a combined 20 years’ experience in the bridal industry, Sally and Charlotte know a thing or two about which dresses suit different kinds of weddings and different kinds of brides. Attentive listeners, they’re incredibly knowledgeable and encouraging about dress designs, so you’ll be sure to come away with a definite idea of what you’re really looking for (if not your dream dress, which more often happens, we’ve heard!).
