Dine at Rise Hall

We are so excited to confirm that we are now the owners of luxury wedding and event venue Rise Hall!

Dan, together with his wife Helen, have bought the the Grade II-listed building near Beverley from property developer and TV personality Sarah Beeny.  Daniel and the Dine team will continue to operate the prestigious, 29- bedroom building as a luxury wedding and events venue.  Working alongside the existing team at Rise Hall, the team will be working hard to ensure that Rise Hall remains one of the top venues for Weddings, Corporate Events and Celebrations in Yorkshire.

Rise Hall is recorded in the Domesday Book and the estate was once owned by Richard III. More recently, the house was used as a convent school and fell into disrepair before being bought by Sarah Beeny and her husband Graham Swift in 2001. The couple’s comprehensive renovation of Rise Hall as a family home and wedding venue was the subject of a Channel 4 documentary, Beeny’s Restoration Nightmare in 2010.

Dan Gill said: “While Dine operates at a range of venues throughout the UK, this is the first venue that Helen and I have directly purchased. It will enable us to shape all aspects of the venue from food to bedrooms, the whole offer. Rise Hall has tremendous potential and we’re keen to build on its reputation and create one of the UK’s most unique and luxurious venues.”

Sarah Beeny said: “We are very excited about the future of Rise Hall under Dan and Helen’s custodianship. Their years of experience and expertise in hospitality will ensure that guests will enjoy an exclusive experience at Rise Hall in keeping with this wonderful building.  Rise Hall has been a big part of our lives for the last 18 years but we have been juggling our other businesses and family interests at the same time as running Rise Hall several hundred miles away and it’s now time to move on. We are thrilled to be passing Rise onto Dan and Helen who share our vision for the house and are the perfect fit for such a very special place”.
