A Wedding At Mirfield Monastery

A Wedding At Mirfield Monastery

Mirfield Monastery is one of the newest venues in Dine’s portfolio. Having only held one wedding there previously we still had a lot to learn about the benefits and fantastic spaces available at Mirfield. The bride was always very excited about her Wedding Day and had some great ideas about what she wanted. The fact that Mirfield was a blank canvas was a great plus point for the couple. They also wanted to veer away from the traditional ‘Hotel’ style wedding and wanted something different to all the other weddings they had been to.

Although the forecast wasn’t great for the day the sun came out just as guests began to arrive from the local church where the ceremony had taken place. Guests enjoyed canapés, Pimms and bottled beers out on the croquet lawn whilst the photographer was spoilt for choice for photo backdrops.

The meal consisted of French Onion Soup, Chicken wrapped in Parma Ham (plus a few parsnips just for the groom!) and Homemade Sticky Toffee Pudding.

The long bench style tables in the Great Hall make for a great relaxed atmosphere and the flowers from Just Jasmine finished it off perfectly. After dinner guests then danced the night away to our in house DJ and made the most of the specially ordered local ale on tap!
