August Ambassadors’ was all about the seaside – we are going to let the menu do the talking…
We are delighted to be able to share Keziah & John’s wedding journey with Dine at The Mansion in Roundhay Park, Leeds. Be inspired by their beautiful decorative flourishes and host of incredible suppliers.
Valentine’s themed Ambassadors’ dinner “three steps to your heart” menu, with the intention to delight our carefully selected guests.
Guests arrived at the venue located 15 minutes from Leeds city centre from 5.45pm and were greeted with an arrival cocktail in the Grand Staircase Hall. Guests were offered the opportunity to take photographs with supplied props and the Mad Hatter himself offering an opportunity to post on social media. Those who felt so inclined could test their strategic skills by taking part in a giant chess game in the Colonnades, or have a game of flamingo ‘croquet’.
We developed an indulgent menu, breaking the usual January rules of fasting, dieting and detox… because frankly none of that stuff is any fun at all!
Chef designed a menu fit for royalty, with elements of smoke (giving up smoking), chocolate and fine wines were paired with every dish (dry January – no alcohol).
This lovely couple came to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary with their children, in the place where it all began 50 years ago. We are all hopeless romantics at Dine, so on hearing their story we wanted to do something really special for this couple and decided to recreate their wedding menu from 1966, with a Dine twist!
An indulgent feast steeped in festive opulence, celebrating the hard work and successes of 2016.
This regency inspired menu was designed with the surroundings and seasonality in mind; taking the traditional values of a Christmas dinner and adding a key ingredient – ‘the Dine difference’ to make it a feast for the memory books!
Laura and Alex chose to celebrate their special day with us at The Mansion in September this year. The mix of vintage pastels and soft grey colour palette complemented the setting perfectly. This was a day, like many of the weddings we host at The Mansion, charged with emotion and love for the beautiful couple. The Father of the Bride’s face on this occasion says it all….
Fresh from winning gold and silver medals at the Rio Olympics, followed by a heroic demonstration of brotherly love at the Triathlon World Series in Mexico, Leeds-born triathletes Alistair and Jonny Brownlee joined us last week for a celebratory dinner at The Mansion in Roundhay Park.
We put on a seasonal dinner fit for the Olympic winners, with a Halloween menu of cream of Jerusalem artichoke soup served in mini pumpkins, chorizo and bean casserole served in a cauldron with smoked pork fillet, boudin noir wrapped in pancetta and roasted chestnuts. Dessert served in a witches hat with dry ice was sticky toffee pudding, orange and ginger caramel sauce and baby toffee apple with cinder toffee. Other guests drawn from the Leeds business community joined the duo.
In 1966, Clive & Angela celebrated their wedding at The Mansion in Roundhay. They recently returned to The Mansion and booked a table in The Garden Room, to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary; the lovely couple had their picture taken on the stair case, recreating memories from their special day – followed by lunch with their nearest and dearest.
There were a lot of happy faces in the office when Kevin Sinfield (Leeds rugby legend!) accepted our invitation to attend the August Ambassadors’ dinner.
We treat all of our events with the same commitment to exceptional service and great quality menus is part of the Dine missions statement ” Dine, making every event special..”. This evening especially, we wanted to deliver the best of Dine to one of Yorkshire’s treasures (although it should be noted that Kevin and his lovely wife Jayne are from Lancashire).
This week we invite you to celebrate one of our national ‘foodie’ treasures – afternoon tea for two (it wouldn’t be as much fun if you didn’t share the experience with a friend)!
Here at The Mansion, we lovingly prepare and serve afternoon tea for hundreds of customers visiting our The Garden Room café.
We also work with clients on the private event side of our business, to develop and create innovative versions of this much loved treat.

The Street Food Trend continues – we show how you can successfully incorporate your favourite food into your next event.
The street food trend that has been gaining momentum over the past few years shows no signs of stopping, with these often quirky little vans cropping up in all sorts of locations – parties, festivals and even high-end shopping malls. Last week the Dine team were thrilled when Gloria, a fabulous mint-green Vietnamese food van rolled up to The Mansion as part of a team food and wine tasting evening. As part of our arduous training (we take our work very seriously!) we got to taste some delicious healthy Vietnamese street food- the chicken satay mini baguette was a huge hit!
The prestigious Yorkshire Business Leaders Awards 2016 celebrate some of the region’s most successful and dynamic business leaders.
A lot of people don’t understand how vital an Event Manager’s role is throughout the planning process; the hours of detail that go into everything, from getting the timings right so that the couple have enough time with their photographer but aren’t late to welcome their evening guests, to being the only one in the building who knows how to tie a cravat, understanding a couples’ favourite menu or just making sure the Groom gets a stiff Whisky when the nerves finally kick in…
